Hand painted ceilings in these rooms like a starry sky.
Mumtaz Mahal in Persian ممتاز محل, “beloved ornament of the palace” that was the name of Arjumand when married to the Great Mogul Shah Jahan.
Its from ancient “Chintamani” that comes the design for Mumtaz Bloom. “Chintamani” is a word of Sanskrit origin meaning “pure jewel”, is represented by three circles grouped according to a triangular structure alternating with wavy lines.
This form would have the power to heal from deceases and poisons, the nectar of immortality. The robes of the Sultan were covered of this design.
